14:13		Summer 2005 Cordillera Blanca, Peru
I spent one month in Peru climbing big mountains (6000m+) with Robert and Julia. Check out the photo album and the video.

18:57		Classes have started!!
today was my first day of classes!!, and I think I was able to get through most of the students! and I even think they thought I spoke the same language (ie something akin to french). Although, this was just a rehearsal as it was mostly a tutorial for about 20 students... next tuesday is the real thing. May the force be with me!

we have been having some tough heat in the last few days, I can bear it, I am not ready for the end of the winter (mental note: next winter start winter activities earlier)...je ne suis pas prêt!!!

11:42		Skiing finally has started for Hector
Ok the skiing has started for me. it is great skiing here, only one hour away from the city. only bad thing is traffic coming back to town; we'll try taking laptop and watching dvds or southpark to wait for traffic to die down...the snow and the slopes are great, there are some mogul sections but not that many...

A new year has started, we'll see what 2004 brings to us. January for me is the standard martyrdom as we also work for a paper submission for a big conference. Other than that looking forward to friends and family visiting and to some skiing and winter sports.

I am now in Grenoble, living in Meylan (outside the busy and hectic city life). Life is good with wine and cheese. The language is coming, I am using the coup-a-coup method which is hard...
