The day started with a nice surprise. Our plan was to do the Grand Goleon, but the car road was blocked a couple of kilometers before our hoped start and the snow lacking, made us change plans. We drove around looking for different options, but there were people everywhere. We finally decided on the valley after checking it out from the road. (we will not mentioned that we took off without a map). The snow was good, we took a nice break halfway to the top. We starting eating a bit, and in the end the break turned into a full lunch. (we won't mention the names of the people hogging the bread).
The views from the Col (mountain pass) were great, we got to see many different summits, Les Agneaux, Rateaux, Meije,...we will not mentioned that some of us (the guy whose name starts with H) could not say which summits where which... but he is learning. You can even make out the Refuge de l'Aigle!!.
The best part was the descent, near the bottom of the valley, there are so many bumps from which to do little jumps. That was really fun.
