To Map of Outing

To get back into climbing shape on Saturday we decided to do a "Terrain d'Aventure", i.e. traditional climb with friends and nuts (very rare in this neck of the woods). Our friend Seb took us for a tour of the region before we lucked out and found the base of the climb. We also note that is important to bring the topo guidebook to find the base of the climb, the right guidebook!!.

The climb itself starts out well, and then it degrades into sketchy terrain (i.e. you are off-route), after pulling a cool move under a block, we were able to ask another group about where the route goes, only to find out that we are starting to climb a harder route than intended. I downclimb back to the belay and get back on the route. The weather was crappy with some clearings, and we were greeted with a little sprinkle at the end to wash off all the sweat.

As a cool note, this route climbs on the face of the Petit Bargy, which can be accessed from the other side on skis during the winter! (see that outing).
