Anyone who knows his or hers climbing history will understand the meaning of the Eiger Nordwand, or the last unsolved problem in alpinism (this was back then), or how it was climbed in 1938 (also saw the first use of the 12-point crampons with front points)... thus this time, we were there to do a little reconnaissance, if you know what I mean.
