Mt Assiniboine, the Matterhorn of the Canadian Rockies. The approach is pretty long (~28Km). We decided to do the first 12 Km in the evening. We stayed in huts to avoid carrying tents and other unnecessary gear. The Hut we stayed in has a class 4 approach. The next day we climbed Mt Assiniboine which can be made into a long climb if there is much snow in the route (as was our case).
