On Sunday May 21st 2000, after Robert and I had completed a 21hrs 44 miles hike, we met up with Dave Anderson and Luke Sosnowski for a fun day at Whitehorse Ledge, a big slab climbing area near North Conway. The climbs are usually 5-8 pitches long. We did sliding board, 5.7. It was very fun except for a short section that was wet. The lesson to be had, is to listen to your friends. Dave pointed out that traversing high at one point was bad. I which was on another rope with Robert, looked at it and it did not look bad, so I traversed high. I found myself in the middle of a wet streak, with one foot on the rock, and the other foot dangling since anywhere around it was wet and slippery. I managed to move through it, but needless to say, that moment is up there in the most scarry moments. Luke and Dave kept on climbing after Robert and I left.
